Good in the Hood
This August and September, the Aquatic Survival Skills Trust is proud to be part of Z Te Puke’s Good in the Hood community campaign.
Every time you fuel up at Z Te Puke, you’ll receive a token. By placing your token in our box, you’re helping us deliver FREE Aquatic Survival Skills lessons to local children. These essential lessons teach kids how to float, tread water, and respond in an emergency, giving them the confidence and knowledge to stay safer in and around water.
Every token represents the strength of the community coming together to support our tamariki. With your help, more children can gain lifesaving skills that make a real difference.

Jane Smith
"The Aquatic Skills For Life Program was brilliant. The instructors were knowledgeable and great at sharing the potentially life saving information with the class. The water session were especially fun and informative, the children learnt how to scull, float on their back, how to make a huddle when in the water and how to safely call for help. I highly recommend all young people in the Bay to participate in the course as the information they will learn could potentially save their own, or someone they know, life one day".

"My children recently completed a water safety course, and it was an excellent experience. The program offered a great balance of learning and hands-on practical skills that will be invaluable if they ever find themselves in trouble in or around water. The instructors delivered a well-thought-out presentation and made sure to involve all the children, keeping them engaged and making the learning process fun and memorable. I highly recommend this course to other parents".

The Good in the Hood campaign run by Z Energy is a longstanding community initiative aimed at supporting local organisations through everyday patronage. Since its launch, this programme has distributed millions of dollars across Aotearoa, empowering charities and community groups to make a real difference right where they live.
When you fuel up at your local Z station, you receive an orange token. You drop that token into the box of your chosen organisation. Z then allocates funds up to $4000 per site between the recipients based on the number of tokens each group receives. As part of the local community, you can help the Aquatic Survival Skills Trust deliver FREE water safety lessons to local tamariki.
